Gentlemen, start your Madness
Final FourTis the season of furrowed brows, laboring over pairings, trying to summon the boldness to take that 12 seed over the 5, guessing which number one seed (or two) will be watching the action in Indy with the rest of us. We're diving into the office pools at WBBL.com, cramming on bracketology. It behooves you to join us, as a satellite TV package and tickets to the new Comerica Park await the winners of the WBBL Final Four Challenge. To enter, send us your winners and championship game score over the Web, or print out the brackets and fax them to WBBL at (616) 451-3299 with your name and phone number, or obtain and enter your brackets at eight locations around the area. Read more at our Final Four page. It's the most wonderful time of the year for sports fans, and we're all over it at WBBL.com!

Warmups
The Big Dance doesn't start for a few days yet, but the upsets have. Arkansas completed its unlikely run through the SEC tournament by toppling Auburn for the title. This after Ohio State, Cincinnati, Stanford, and Syracus were all tripped up in league postseason play ... No such trouble for Michigan State and Duke, which stormed through their league tourneys to seal number one seeds .. In Division III, meanwhile, the Big Dance is down to just two more numbers. The Calvin women fell in double overtime in the Sweet 16 to heavily favored Baldwin-Wallace, while the men pounded McMurry to earn a Final Four berth.

The Coin Toss
By Nathan Bierma
Buckeye fans were inconsolable after Ohio State fell to a 3 seed, but they should sleep better than Spartan fans these next few days. While MSU, seeded first, will have an arduous road that may include some combination of Kentucky, Syracuse, Maryland, UCLA, Auburn, and Iowa State, the Buckeyes' chief concerns on the way to Indy are wounded Cincinnati and vulnerable Stanford. Last time around they shocked the world by making the Final Four. This year it will be less of a surprise.

Kenyon Martin's injury is a tragedy for Cincinatti, but it has blown the tournament wide open. Before this
incident I thought MSU had a very good chance of getting the #2 seed in Cincinatti's region. i thought
Cincinatti was the one team who could definitely beat MSU. I don't think there can be any clear favorite
now. I think there are 10-15 teams that have a shot.

ABOUT WBBL.COM

WBBL.com exists for the same reason WBBL AM does - to rise above the flood of scores and stats by 1) taking time for analysis and 2) bringing the fans into the conversation. On the air we do it by taking your calls and faxes. Online we offer e-mails, message boards, chat rooms, and local polls.  We keep you informed, but realize that information without perspective is hollow. And so we look to  inject the same personality into our Web site that you hear on 1340 AM.
